Stirling Photography Festival Print Design

BACKGROUND & PROBLEM

The Stirling Photography Festival started as a youth festival and has since grown. The studio had worked with the festival previously to consolidate the brand and redesign the website to effectively communicate the festival’s value.

CONTEXT AND KEY CHALLENGES

With cuts to funding in the arts sector, the festival had to look for new funding streams to ensure the sustainability of its programme of events for 2024. To achieve this, the studio worked with the festival to consolidate and deliver a sponsor pack and other print materials to help advertise sponsorship opportunities.

The key challenges faced during this project included:

·      Limited formal funding opportunities

·      Limited time

·     Low / no print budget

GOALS & SUCCESS METRICS

·      Create a funding / sponsor pack

·      Increase private sponsorship for the festival

·      Make this information easily and readily available

OUTCOMES

The sponsor pack was designed in Adobe InDesign and hosted on a sponsorship landing page ont he festival website. This was a single point of information and gave potential partners everything they needed to make an informed decision to assist in the festival funding. The studio worked collaboratively with the festival team to design additional branded assets to help with networking events etc to showcase the work the festival does at events.

This resulted in the 2024 festival being successfully funded with the help of their sponsors and further encouraged long term partnership and success for their creative community.

“Against a backdrop of continuing cuts to funding in the arts, the sponsorship model has introduced a new way of working and set a new standard for what we can achieve as a festival.”
